Chidinma Ihezue - Alexandria City High School - CI Intern

June Member Spotlight - CI Hosts High School Intern

Local Alexandria City High School senior, Chidinma Ihezue, spent two weeks as an intern at CI’s offices in Arlington, Virginia. Chidinma will be majoring in chemical engineering at Hampton University on an academic scholarship in the fall.  During her time here, she learned about chlorine operations through CI’s pamphlets and videos, interviewed five chemical engineers plus a structural engineer with varying professional experiences, interviewed a chemist, and analyzed publicly available DOT data. One of her main objectives was to learn about the chemical engineering and chemist professions as she discerns where her professional interests lie.
